Treasure Hunter

He stepped into the dank, empty tomb, with torch in hand. Staring around at mountains and mountains of books scattered, torn, and tattered about the floors and bookshelves, he stepped forward. At the end of this hall was a single chest. He placed his torch on the wall and, reaching into his pocket, he pulled out a glowing key and placed it in the chest - double-locked, to not only accept one shape, but that key had also to have a special enchantment on it. The spell broke, he twisted, and... jammed. Giving out a sigh, he delivered a swift kick into the chest, breaking it loose. Inside was a tattered old book - a wizard's tome, hidden away for it's dark secrets. He grinned, reaching in, and pulled it out. He walked away, whistling a small tune he had stuck in his head, when he heard a rumbling noise. The wall began to rise behind him, and from inside, countless eyes stared. He laughed, reaching to his side and pulling up a pistol.

"Shoulda known the idea the most prized guards of this academy being buried here was a sign I'd meet trouble."

Something about this particular treasure hunter was unusual. He didn't seem much different from your ordinary feline, and yet he was anything but. Even though a novice, he is said to be able to fight demons, undead, and other abnormalities with unnatural ease. Those who see him work are suprised at how such an undisciplinned mind could cut a swathe through mystical enemies as if he had no fear, while others say he has fear - he manages to simply tune it out to maximise his power.

And they say his eyes burn innately with an almost otherworldly glow, almost as mystical as the very things he can fight.

Few know of his origins, but what is known is this...

Metal is one crazy bastard.

Just a lil' something I drew up fueled by a mix of the new Demon Hunter class trailer for Diablo 3 and "Some things man was not meant to know" by Darkest of the Hillside Thickets. I am actually quite proud of how this one turned out.
